As a Software Engineer at Power Diary, you will be responsible for developing features end-to-end. You will need to get right into our code base, understand it, and make it better. You will manage your cards on the team’s Kanban board. You will write, test, and deploy your code, and review your peer’s pull requests. You will have to consider the architecture of new and existing features as you work, research different ways to do something, identify the best of them, and code it all up. Think clearly and tell us when we’re wrong.
Our Engineering Boost Team is seeking an experienced Software Engineer who will be able to deep-dive into all aspects of the code and technology stack to quickly resolve critical customer issues. We need a proactive, problem solver who will make improvements that will delight our customers. This person will also provide technical support for our customer facing team.
Experience in a similar Data Migration / ETL role
Experience with ETL Tools
Experience with Postgres, SQL Server, AWS
Strong project management and organizational skills, with an emphasis on managing completion of tasks by non-direct reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent communication skills working with people of various levels and units in the company
Experience working in a matrix organization with remote teams
As a Customer Support Agent you will:
Provide support to health practitioners and admin staff through email, live chat, over the phone and video conferencing
Proactively reach out to new free trial accounts to support them with further information and address specific queries
Understand and triage incoming support requests and ensure they’re assigned to the right team
Work closely with our Engineering and Product Teams to help make Power Diary the best it can be, by reporting any bugs and recording user feedback
Write, refine and create support documentation for our users
Action accounts payable, liaise with all departments on requirements
Map business spending through invoice and expense coding, liaise with department heads to optimise spend
Bookkeeping responsibilities; receipt and payroll entry into our accounting system (Xero), bank reconciliations, assist in the preparation of monthly reports
Process payroll and contractor payments on a biweekly basis
Develop and improve systems and methods of financial operation
Manage service vendors on our current agreements, renewals, seeking best value for the company (e.g. systems, subscriptions, outsourced services)
Coordinate purchase and distribution of external customer and internal Team Member incentives (e.g. gift vouchers, company promotional material)
Event planning, meeting and schedule coordination
Contribute towards the overall successful operational running of Power Diary
Create reports and perform analysis to aid with business decisions
Collaborate with Product department on creating a UX / UI design, ready for our engineering teams to develop
Ongoing evaluation of the existing application
Provide application design, working towards a product style guide
Design suitable application processes, collaborating cross-functionally
Design work for new user-facing projects on a project-by-project basis
Work with Project team to meet organizational deadlines
